An épicerie fine, taken online
La Boîte Noire is a Marseille épicerie fine run by Mélissa and Sami, who came to it from restaurants. Every product on its shelves is chosen through a blind tasting. Flexminde built the shop that takes that selection online: a WooCommerce store for the house gift boxes, launched in autumn 2025.

The brief and what came of it
The Problem
An épicerie fine sells on the counter: a customer tastes, asks and takes something home. None of that reaches anyone outside the shop. La Boîte Noire had a selection worth sending across France and no way to sell it to people who could not walk in.
The Solution
Flexminde built a WooCommerce shop on WordPress around what travels best: the gift boxes. Keyword research fed the structure before the pages were built. Each box has its own page listing exactly what is inside and who made it.
The Outcome
Twenty-nine gift boxes across the owners’ three ranges, sold online since autumn 2025 with delivery anywhere in France. Business gifting and the tasting masterclasses have pages of their own.

A shop built around the box
A counter sells one conversation at a time. Online, there is no conversation, so the shop leads with the thing that already made sense to send: a finished box, chosen and composed by the owners, at a price the buyer can see up front.
The owners’ ranges, kept intact
Les Emblématiques, Les Sensations and Les Tentations are how La Boîte Noire already thinks about its boxes. The shop keeps them as the categories rather than inventing a new taxonomy for the web.
Every box says what is inside
A composition panel on each product page lists the contents and names the producer behind each one. For a gift the buyer never opens, that list is the product.
Business gifting has its own door
Companies buying for staff or clients get a dedicated page for a box built to order, instead of being sent through a catalogue designed for one-off gifts.
The practical pages a buyer checks first
Delivery terms, terms of sale, legal notices, order tracking and a contact route. On a shop nobody has heard of yet, these pages are what earns the first order.

Built for a shop that is also a counter
The shop runs on WordPress with WooCommerce, and its pages are built in Elementor, so layouts are edited visually from the WordPress dashboard rather than in code.
Each product page carries the box’s photograph, its price, a composition panel naming the producers, reviews and sharing links. Buyers can keep a wishlist, hold an account and track an order after it leaves the shop.
Around the catalogue sit the pages that make a new shop trustworthy: delivery terms, terms of sale, legal notices and a direct contact route. Google Site Kit is connected, so the owners can see how people find the shop.

Twenty-nine boxes. Three ranges. One counter, open across France.
How the work ran
In this order, and no stage started before the one before it had produced something the client had seen.
Keyword research
Done before any page existed, while the structure was still free to change.
Shop structure
Gift boxes as the heart of the shop, the owners’ three ranges beneath them, and separate pages for business gifting and tastings.
The WooCommerce build
WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor, with checkout, customer accounts, a wishlist and order tracking.
Product pages
A page per box with its photograph, price, composition and producers, plus reviews, wishlist and sharing.
Launch
Delivery, terms and legal pages in place, order tracking live, and the shop opened in autumn 2025.

Épicerie Fine La Boîte Noire questions
What people ask about this project once they have seen the numbers. If yours is not here, ask it on a first call.
What did Flexminde actually build here?
The online shop, on WordPress and WooCommerce, and the keyword research behind its structure. The gift boxes, the three ranges and the product photography are the client’s own.
Why sell gift boxes rather than the whole shop?
Because a box is a finished product. It has a fixed price, a clear contents list and a reason to be sent. Putting every item from the counter online would have meant a large, thin catalogue, with none of the advice that makes the counter work.
Why are there no traffic or sales figures on this page?
Because none have been published for this project, and this site does not invent them. The figures shown describe the catalogue itself, which anyone can check on the live shop.
