Web development that holds up after launch Websites built on the stack the project actually needs

Website creation for businesses that need the build to outlast the launch. WordPress when content changes daily. Next.js or Astro when speed and structure lead. The choice follows the project, not habit.

What the work covers

Every item below is part of the service rather than an add-on discovered later. Anything that falls outside it is named in the written scope before the work starts.

  • Website creation and redesign

New builds from nothing, or a redesign of a site that still works but has stopped earning its place.

  • WordPress and Next.js builds

The platform is a decision, not a default. WordPress gives editors control. Next.js and Astro give you speed and structure.

  • Accessible by construction

Keyboard paths, focus states, contrast and semantics get decided while the markup is written. This very site is built to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested with axe-core.

  • Performance budgets

Core Web Vitals are a requirement during the build. Not a report that turns up afterwards.

  • Migrations and replatforming

Moving between platforms or hosts, with every redirect mapped so your search rankings survive the move.

  • Handover you can act on

Readable code, decisions written down, and no proprietary page builder holding your content hostage.

How the work runs

Four phases, in this order, on every engagement. No stage begins before the previous one has produced something you have seen and agreed to.

  1. Scope

What the site has to achieve, who it is for, and what already exists. Ends with an agreed written scope.

  2. Structure

Content model and URL structure decided before design, so the site can grow without being rebuilt.

  3. Build

Semantic markup and typed code. Performance and accessibility get applied as the work happens.

  4. Launch

Redirects, analytics and Search Console are configured before you go live. Then handover.

Web Development questions

The questions that come up before committing to this work. If yours is not here, ask it on a first call. That call exists for exactly this.

Which platform should my website be built on?

It depends on who edits it, and how often. WordPress earns its place when non-technical people publish every week. A static build on Astro or Next.js wins when speed, structure and search visibility matter more, and content changes rarely. We settle that in scoping, with the trade-offs written down. Nobody assumes it on day one.

What is the difference between web design and web development?

Design decides how the site looks and behaves. Development makes it real in a browser. Here they are not two separate handovers. The design arrives as a system of tokens and components, and the build uses that system directly. That is what stops the finished site drifting away from what you approved.

Does the way a site is built affect SEO?

Yes, and more than most redesigns account for. Markup structure, heading order, internal linking, page speed, crawlability: every one of those is a build decision. So technical SEO is part of the build here. It is not a separate phase you buy later.

Can you work on an existing site rather than replacing it?

Often it is the better option. An existing site already shows you which parts earn their keep. We start with an audit, so the scope reflects what is really there.

Will my team be able to edit the site?

We decide that in scoping, because it changes the build. A WordPress site gets set up so your team can change content without touching layout. A static site can be wired to a CMS too, as long as editing is a real need and not a hypothetical one.

What happens after the site launches?

You get the code, the deployment setup, and documentation of how it all fits together. Ongoing improvement, SEO and support can be scoped separately. Nothing is built to make leaving difficult.
